Last July I had the privilege in being invited by the Population Commission’s (POPCOM) dissemination forum for the fourth Young Adult Fertility and Sexuality Survey (YAFFS4). The YAFFS4 is the country’s most comprehensive nationwide analysis of the youth’s (15-24 as per POPCOM’s definition) sexual and non-sexual behaviors and exposure. The first YAFSS even going as far back as the 1980s.
In Region XI about 1000 young people from various demographics were selected to answer questions on drug abuse, premarital sex, nutrition, health and violence. One interesting find is that Region XI has the highest percentage of drug users. Through the alchemy of powerpoint, during the course of the presentation they sublimated all of that titillating data into a boring slideshow. They gave me a copy on the findings they discovered for region XI but which you can see in my dropbox folder is now horribly jumbled up.
