Introduction to CSS

As IT students, we’re learning how to use the now ubiquitous CSS. I once encountered CSS back in 2009 to modify my extinct plurk account. Ever since then many micro-blogging sites and WordPress allows users to modify their appearances.

CSS development closely parallels that of Object-Oriented Programming in Java. You can summon desired features and reuse modules. Instead of repeating lines of modification to every line of code, Cascading Style Sheets allows you to compress commands. Which is useful since we keep on modifying <tag> elements for every single line.

The HTML sister language coding convention has the following syntax:

1. #<css-id>{ commands } – for the module of the CSS.

2. <<div> id = “<css-id>”> statements </div>

Hopefully, I can personalize my own website when the time comes.
