Philippine National Police – Davao del Sur
Greetings of Solidarity,
The Legal Network for Truthful Elections (LENTE) is a nationwide alliance of lawyers, law students and paralegal democracy watchdog founded in 2007. LENTE is a COMELEC-accredited electoral observer that pursues clean, credible and honest elections. The alliance specializes on the legal aspects of election violations as a necessary line of work in its advocacy. It also collects relevant data from across the country.
The organization is currently expanding its operations and activities in improving its capability. In pursuit of its goals it coordinates with the COMELEC, similar cause-oriented groups and other agencies of government as the case may be.
Thanks to your office’s provincial presence and jurisdiction, we believe that PNP-Davao del Sur is in the perfect position to aid in LENTE’s mandate of enforcing democracy in the province and nation. We hope that the police can share relevant reports to our national secretariat on election related violations with regards in the conduct of the 2013 provincial elections. The data compiled from your office is then going to be integrated into a nationwide report that covers all parts of the country that LENTE monitors.
We hope for a positive response.
